The Balearic Government is making a contribution to increasing renewable energies by planning 22 new solar parks in the Balearics, of which 19 will be built in Mallorca. Although the project is still in its infancy, it is clear that the facilities are being built outside the city. In the municipality of Selva in Majorca's Tramuntana Mountains is already a large photovoltaic system with more than 12,000 modules planned by a company from Palma. The existing 35 photovoltaic systems in Mallorca are mostly in the municipality of Santa Margalida, one of which was built in Palma. By the way, more than 10 years ago, the first photovoltaic system was built in Sant Jordi.
